  • After XII (1st Year ) After XII (1st Year ) Physics + Maths + Chemistry + (Bio/ Computer/Hindi) with Min. 50% (45 % for SC/ST/OBC) in 12th with qualified rank in IIT- JEE
  • Direct Admission/Lateral Entry (2nd Year)
  • 1. Min. 50%  (45% for SC/ST/OBC) in 12th & Diploma in Engg.

Head of The Department 

Prof.Rajeev Shrivastava, has Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College ,Rewa and did Master of Engineering in Industrial design from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology(LNCT), Bhopal. He has four year’s technical work experience in the Fabrication and Automobile Industries. He joined LNCT, Bhopal as faculty. He has also experience of teaching as Asst. Professor in CEC, Bilaspur from 2001 to 2004.He joined as Asst. Professor at JNCT, Bhopal where he is teaching since 2004. Prof. Shrivastava has participated and contributed in many Technical Workshops, seminars and conferences which had been organized by IIT, Mumbai, RGPV, Bhopal, LNCT and JNCT, Bhopal. He is a life member of ISTE.

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Department was established at JNCT in the year 2003 and is also one of the biggest and prestigious department of the institute. Excellent Facilities in terms of equipment and staff are available to prepare students as professional Mechanical Engineers with the focus on innovation analysis and development of technologies. The faculty members of the department have technical expertise in various streams like thermal engineering, IC Engine, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Industrial Design, CIM etc. The department has established an Energy Park at JNCT Campus in collaboration with the Department of Electricals & Electronics Engineering of JNCT. It has Conducted many workshops, Conferences and National Seminars.

All the laboratories of the Department are well equipped with appropriate apparatus and machine like Lathe Machine, Milling Machine etc. in Workshop and Universal Testing Machine of 40 ton capacity, Torsion Testing, Francis, Kaplan Turbine etc. in various other laboratories. CAD/CAM laboratory contains 60 Computers of well suited configuration and software. The department has following 20 well equipped laboratories:
