About Us

Vision

To advance the state of the art in Data Science by providing quality education, using latest tools. To serve the local and the national community by creating awareness about IT related products and to impress upon then the importance of knowledge management. To contribute effectively to the nation, to produce quality human resource in the Data Science and Information Technology management for sustainable development of the country’s IT industry needs.

Mission

  • To promote innovative and research-based projects/activities in the emerging application areas of technology convergence.

Programme Educational Objectives

PEO-1

To prepare students to succeed in employment/profession and/or to pursue post graduate and research educations in Data Science discipline in particular and allied Engineering discipline in general.

PEO-2

To provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to formulate, analyze and solve engineering problems requiring knowledge of Data Science & Engineering.

PEO-3

To prepare students with engineering breadth to innovate, design, and develop software products and to contribute in providing solutions related to multidisciplinary real life problems.

To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills and team work to become a successful professional.

Educational Objectives

JNCT offers a four-year under-graduate B.Tech course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It is an interdisciplinary branch of science, engineering and technology creating a complete ecosystem and a paradigm shift in virtually every sector of the technical industry, academics and research. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is the future of technology which are changing the world at very high pace. The basic objectives of this course is to train students with the next age of Intelligence and analytics generated by machines, influencing nearly every facet of our lives to help improve efficiencies and augment human capabilities, influencing consumer products with significant breakthroughs in healthcare, manufacturing, finance and retail industries.

With the tremendous amount of data generated every day and the computing power available, Data Science plays important role helping every business organization in identifying business trends and changes through advanced Big Data Analytics with variety of techniques and tools to interpret and predict business results and future from multiple data sources through statistical analysis, data aggregation, and data mining.

Scope of Employment

Over the last few years, the demand for skills in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science has increased significantly. According to the LinkedIn Report of India and the United States in 2020 Artificial Intelligence Specialists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineer, are the top career options. The Gartner study from 2019 showed that the Artificial Intelligence applications increased by 270% between 2015 and 2019. As a result, AI’s popularity is only going to grow in the future. The number of Artificial Intelligence job openings is rapidly increasing. According to the World Economic Forum, automation would result in a net gain of 58 million jobs worldwide. According to the Skills-of-Mass-Disruption Report, over the next five years, the number of jobs requiring Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning (AI/ML) skills will increase by 71%, with employers paying an average premium of $14,175 to eligible candidates.

Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING :

About the CSE department: In the year 2003, the Computer Science and  Engineering Department was founded at JNCT and has since become one of the most prominent and esteemed departments within the institution.

The Department boasts cutting-edge infrastructure and computing facilities, bolstered by high-speed Ethernet. There are several vibrant student clubs like Technical Club, Cultural Club, Photography Club, Sports Club, and the Professional Chapter IET (Institute of Engineering & Technology). Our faculty members strive to provide exceptional education by integrating their extensive research expertise with classroom instruction.

The teaching-learning process encompasses classroom lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, seminars, viva-voce exams, minor/major projects, group discussions, expert lectures, industrial visits, industrial training, and workshops. We utilize a range of teaching aids such as overhead projectors (OHP), LCD/DLP projectors, E-campus software, and a collection of audio-visual CDs related to various subjects developed by NPTEL.

  • Lecture Halls, Class Rooms, Seminar Hall and Departmental Library are key features.
  • 11 LABS on different subjects like CP, Software Engg., DBMS, OOPS, Graphics & Multimedia and Major Project lab.Total No. of Computer Systems in the dept. are 300 approx. All laboratories are equipped with latest CORE 2 DUO Computers, scanners, printers.
  • Internet Facility: Internet Access is made available in all machines in Project Lab and is well secured behind Firewall .The entire College campus is WiFi enabled. Online study materials are available on an e-learning server Course materials available under NPTEL (National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning) by 7 IIT’s & IISc.
  • Department Library: The library has many journals and books available in the department. Allthe major software packages are available for study.
  • Faculty & Supporting Staff Details:Faculty Student Ratio is 1: 11.5. Avg. Academic Experience of faculty is 4 Years. Faculty participates in various activities like Departmental Library, Time Table Scheduling, Project work, Planning & Development – Amenities.
  • Teaching:Learning methodology -Faculty members prepare LESSON PLAN and maintain COURSE FILE for the subjects handled. LCD projectors are actively used both in the classroom and in Laboratory. Feedback from the students is obtained in very semester to make the teaching-learning process effective. Guest lectures are organized for the students by Industry Representatives, Research Scholars and Academicians on topics of current interest
  • Value Added Training: Various value added training programs are organized by Web Makers Mozila Community, CMC Pvt.Ltd. to update students of the latest trends in the field of Computer Science.
  • Co-Curricular Activities & Extra-curricular Activities: The students have participated in Inter College Competitions held at state level and National Level and brought laurels for the college.

Research Area: Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Internet Technology
His areas of interests are Information Security, Ad- Hoc Network and Network Security. He has attended Faculty development program(FDP) conducted by NITTTR Bhopal & 04 workshops conducted by IIT Bombay. He was a Member of the Organizing Committee (National Conference on Wired & Wireless Network and Security Issues) on 26th and 27th April 2013 conducted by RGI,Bhopal.

He has 05 years of experience in running a proprietorship firm named “Hydrovilla,” which specializes in advanced vertical farming techniques, including the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and methods such as hydroponics and aquaponics.
