National Pollution Control Day, observed on December 2nd in India, aims to raise awareness about the importance of controlling and preventing pollution. It commemorates the tragic incident of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in 1984, one of the world’s worst industrial disasters. Jnct Nature’s Club celebrated National Pollution Control Day with fervor and a commitment to environmental consciousness by organizing an On-the-Spot Speech Competition. The event aimed to engage students in thoughtful discourse about pollution, its consequences, and the imperative for collective action. This event serves as a testament to the college’s dedication to nurturing responsible and informed citizens who recognize the urgency of addressing environmental challenges. The On-the-Spot Speech Competition was a constructive step toward inspiring positive change and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among the students. JNCT Nature’s Club, in association with the Institute Innovation Council, joyfully marked Earth Unity Week with the theme “Celebrating Our Planet, Every Day.” This week-long initiative focused on fostering environmental consciousness and sustainable actions. It encompassed a range of awareness and conservation programs, including: World Water Monitoring Day, World Clean-Up Day, World Environment Health Day, World River Day, This week offered students an opportunity to display their talents while gaining insights into environmental conservation, motivating participants to take steps towards a more sustainable future.
