Building partnerships between Internet stakeholders, including #government, #industry, #academia, and #civil society is crucial for driving Universal Acceptance initiatives and promoting a Multilingual Internet in India. Enhancing Internet infrastructure to support local scripts, domain names, and email addresses is the need of the hour. Conducting awareness campaigns and technical training sessions is the first step to educate developers, policymakers, and users about the benefits and implementation of Universal Acceptance. It is also equally important to encourage policies that mandate Universal Acceptance compliance, promote local #language content, and supporte research and #development in this area.
At the same time empowering users to create and access content in their preferred languages, fostering an inclusive and diverse Internet ecosystem is a must. To keep the agenda in mind, today “Awareness and capacity building session on Universal Acceptance” was conducted at
Jai Narai College of Technology, Bhopal. The session was delivered by Ms Sarika Gulyani, Director, #FICCI and Chairperson, Local India UA Chapter, Mr. Aman Masjide, UA Ambassador, Mr Nitin Wali, Senior Director. The session was inaugurated by Mrs. Poojashree Chouksey, (Secretary, #JNCT), all the guests and Dr. Narbada Prasad Gupta (Principal, #JNCT). Dr. B. L. Rai (Dean, Admin), Mr. Arun Patel (Admission In-charge), Dr. Rishu Upadhyay (HOD, BS) were present during the session along with all HODs and faculty members, students of BTech and MBA courses. Students had a lot of queries, and they were keen to ask questions to the experts. The program was hosted by Ms. Arshi Soni (Faculty, MBA) and vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Priya Gupta, Asst Director, FICCI.
